Confidence high for Oulton Park and F3 Cup

Chris Dittmann Racing is expecting to carry its race-winning form on to Oulton Park as F3 Cup reaches its midway point with a pair of races on July 16.

Stuart Wiltshire, championship runner-up in 2015, claimed his first win at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, last time out to move into title contention. The Essex racer has been on the podium twice more in this season, and claimed third at Oulton Park last year.

Team-mate Tony Bishop, who visited the podium at Donington Park in April, has been showing excellent pace recently and could have had a brace of wins at Brands Hatch. He’s already been a winner at Oulton Park this year, too, racing in Monoposto.

Malcolm Scott has also enjoyed success at Oulton Park in Monoposto, and heads to Cheshire with fresh confidence following an excellent weekend at Spa. His fifth place in race two is his best in F3 Cup to date, having stepped up to the championship this season.

Chris Dittmann, team principal, looked ahead, saying: “I’m pleased Stuart, Tony and Malcolm have the chance to get back on track so soon after their brilliant Spa. It helps to carry that momentum forward and onto the next race.

“They all know the circuit well and have had success there so there’s every chance we can help them do the same again.

“We were able to make up a bit of ground in the Teams’ Championship last time out so hopefully we’ll be able to close the small gap to the top two again. We’re only now heading into the second half of the season so it really is all to play for in the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships.”
